47th Annual Sausalito Chili Cook-Off

Spice things up at the 47th Annual Sausalito Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, September 19! Head to Dunphy Park for an afternoon of chili tasting, friendly competition, drinks, live music and plenty of community fun.

This year’s theme is Team Spirit, with chili teams encouraged to represent their favorite local sports team, sport, game or competition. Guests can sample competing recipes and help select the People’s Choice winner, while judges crown their favorites for Judge’s Choice and Best Booth.

Think you can handle the heat? The Hot Pepper Eating Contest begins at 1:00 p.m., with contestants advancing through increasingly spicy peppers.

Unlimited chili tasting wristbands are available in advance. Tasting begins promptly at noon, with wristband pickup and day-of sales beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Calling All Chili Chefs: Registration to compete is free. Teams receive a $300 stipend and complimentary tasting wristbands for participating chefs. Register by August 19 to be included on this year’s chef apron.
