SCBC Herring Festival

The Sausalito Community Boating Center (SCBC) presents the 12th Annual Herring Festival on March 22. An evening of fish, friends, fun, fundraising and fellowship is in store from 5:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. at the Sausalito Center for the Arts. The recently opened boating center (SCBC) is situated between the Cruising Club and Galilee Harbor.

Festival attendees will enjoy herring-inspired cuisine by local chefs, live music, a silent auction, raffle, music, creative and educational stations plus creative cocktails or mocktails.

A few general admission tickets are still available at $65 each.

Proceeds from the Herring Festival, the auction, and any donations will go to directly to support opening SCBCs newly opened docks, just next to Dunphy Park in Sausalito, which will be open from dawn-to-dusk for people to launch their kayaks, rowboats, and stand-up paddle boards.  Funds will also support developing and providing affordable sailing and rowing programs for youth and adults, maintain and operate our beautiful community accessible site, and allow the SCBC to extend low-cost access to water and sailing education on their unique fleet of wooden sailboats.
