The Bay Area Figurative Movement Continues
Exhibition: Jan 8-Feb 8, 2026 (Wed-Sun)
The Sausalito Center For The Arts is pleased to invite you to Drawn From Life, a curated annual exhibition celebrating figurative painting, drawing, and sculpture by prominent Bay Area artists, on view January 8 – February 8, 2026.
This powerful exhibition reflects the contemporary, narrative-driven spirit of the Bay Area Figurative Movement, where artists work from the living world to express personal stories, tensions, and moments of human experience—moving beyond academic precision to emotional and visual depth.
Each artist in Drawn From Life draws inspiration from life models and lived experience, creating work that honors the long-standing tradition of working from life while pushing it forward in meaningful, expressive ways. The exhibition includes mini-shows of five works per artist, offering a focused and immersive look into each creative voice.
