  • Translate CEO direction and company objectives into operating plans, performance metrics, and priorities for the production, quality, planning, and maintenance teams.
  • Partner with the Controller to analyze operational and financial performance, including labor, chemical, material, equipment, and overhead costs, and to develop operating budgets, cost reductions, and profitability improvements.

  • Provide regular operational reporting to the CEO on delivery, quality, throughput, cost, safety, and key risks.

Production Scheduling and On-Time Delivery

  • Lead daily production and scheduling meetings to set priorities, balance workloads across tanks, lines, and shifts, and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Ensure expedite, rush, and priority orders are scheduled and tracked through completion, and that customer commit dates are realistic and met.
  • Coordinate with customer service, quality, purchasing, and shipping so incoming parts, materials, chemistry, masking, and documentation are ready when needed.
  • Track and report on-time delivery, past-due orders, work-in-process, and lead-time performance, and drive corrective action when delivery targets are missed.
  • Communicate proactively with customers on schedule risks and recovery plans before commit dates are missed.

Customer Escalations and Quality
  • Serve as the senior operations point of contact for customer escalations, including late deliveries, quality rejections, nonconformances, and returned parts.
  • Lead customer-facing communication on escalated issues, including calls, meetings, and on-site visits, and set clear recovery plans and timelines.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (RCCA/CAPA), and ensure customer responses are complete, accurate, and on time.
  • Ensure timely delivery of required quality documentation, including FAIRs, TIRs, certificates of conformance, and inspection reports.
  • Monitor customer scorecards, quality alerts, and supplier requirements for key semiconductor customers, and act on negative trends before they escalate.

Production Systems and Database Implementation
  • Lead the implementation and adoption of a database system across production, including work order tracking, case management, quality data, and process monitoring.
  • Work with the database system team, quality, planning, and supervisors to define production workflows, requirements, and rollout priorities.
  • Ensure supervisors and operators are trained on the database system and that production data is entered accurately and consistently.
  • Use the database system and ERP data to track operational metrics, identify bottlenecks, and replace manual processes with standardized digital workflows.
  • Measure and report implementation progress, user adoption, and results to the CEO.

Leadership and Employee Development
  • Lead, coach, and hold accountable the production, quality, planning, and maintenance supervisors and their teams.
  • Partner with the HR Manager on recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, employee relations, and succession planning.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety programs, and employment practices.
  • Build a culture of accountability, safety, clear communication, and continuous improvement on the production floor.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a general manager, plant manager, or senior operations management role.
  • Demonstrated success leading production, quality, maintenance, inventory management, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement in a multi-process manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in metal finishing, anodizing, electroplating, precision cleaning, chemical processing, or semiconductor supply chain manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record improving on-time delivery through production scheduling, capacity planning, and shop floor prioritization in a high-mix, quick-turn environment.
  • Proven experience managing customer escalations and leading customer-facing corrective action responses with demanding OEM customers.
